2. Why do I need to replace the electronic wear sensors?

If your dashboard brake warning light is currently illuminated, the sacrificial tip of your old electronic wear sensor has physically ground away against the spinning brake rotor. This permanently breaks the electrical circuit. You must install the brand-new wear sensors included in this kit to successfully reset the system and clear the dashboard warning.

3. Will replacing my brake pads fix a shaking steering wheel?

No. If your steering wheel violently shakes or vibrates only when you apply the brakes, your heavy cast-iron brake rotors are warped. While you absolutely need to install fresh brake pads when doing a brake service, putting brand-new pads onto warped rotors will not cure the vibration. You must replace the brake rotors at the same time.
