To ensure the highest level of safety and performance, massive vehicles like the Cullinan and Phantom utilize the incredibly robust braking architecture developed for BMW's armored vehicles and flagship V12 models. These parts are identical to what was installed at the Rolls-Royce factory.

  • A: Yes. The brake pad wear sensors on the Cullinan are a "sacrificial" component. Once your brake pads wear down to a certain level, the brake rotor physically grinds through the tip of the plastic sensor, breaking a delicate electrical circuit to trigger your dashboard warning light. They are strictly one-time-use and must be replaced to clear the warning message.

  • A: Brake squeal is actually a high-frequency vibration. When pads wear down, or if the anti-vibration shims on the back of the pads degrade from intense heat, the pad vibrates rapidly against the massive caliper pistons. Installing this Genuine OEM kit with fresh shims and proper brake grease on the contact points will eliminate the noise.

  • A: It depends entirely on the current condition of your rotors. If your rotors have a deep physical "lip" on the outer edge, are severely grooved, or if you feel a pulsation in the steering wheel when braking at highway speeds, the rotors must be replaced. Putting perfectly flat new pads on grooved rotors will ruin the new pads and cause immediate squealing.
