Land Rover's lineup spans some of the heaviest vehicles in the premium segment — the Range Rover L460 exceeds 2,500 kg and the Defender 110 approaches 2,700 kg in some configurations. That weight places significant thermal and mechanical demand on brake consumables, particularly during sustained downhill driving, repeated heavy braking and towing.

What to Know Before Ordering

Pads wear faster here than on lighter vehicles, and disc damage is a common consequence of deferred pad replacement.
The wear sensor is single-use and a separate part number front and rear. Replace it with the pads.
Brake fluid renewal every two years is specified to protect the ABS and stability control modules from hygroscopic fluid degradation — an item frequently skipped at independent workshops, which shortens module life.
On plug-in hybrids — P400e, P440e, P510e — regenerative braking means the friction brakes work less and corrode more. Discs frequently fail on corrosion rather than wear, so inspect on condition rather than pad thickness.
Specification varies by engine and wheel size, and the Range Rover Sport SVR generates the highest brake demand in the range — shorten consumable intervals on those.
