Coolant system components are consumables in Gulf conditions, not lifetime parts. Thermostat housings, coolant distributors, expansion tanks, hoses and auxiliary pumps all age on a calendar basis here, and the failure that follows is rarely proportionate to the part that caused it — a seeping plastic housing costs little; the overheating damage it leads to does not.
We supply genuine OEM thermostats, coolant housings and distributors, expansion tanks, hoses, clamps and auxiliary pumps, matched to engine code rather than model name. Send us your VIN and we will confirm before you order.
Coolant distributor housings. On BMW B48 and B58 engines the plastic distributor sits in the engine vee and weeps onto the block long before any level or temperature warning appears. Labour-intensive to reach, which makes proactive replacement while the area is open the sensible approach.
Thermostat housings. Mercedes M276 and M278, and several VW Group engines, share the same pattern — a plastic housing in the vee that seeps rather than bursts. The first sign is a sweet smell and a slowly falling expansion tank.
Auxiliary and intercooler pumps. Turbocharged and supercharged cars run secondary coolant circuits with their own electric pumps, separate from the main loop and routinely overlooked until they fail.
Expansion tanks and caps. The tank goes brittle with heat cycling and the cap loses its pressure rating. A cap that no longer holds system pressure lowers the coolant boiling point and causes overheating that no amount of new coolant fixes.
Coolant specification. Mixing coolant types is a common cause of premature water pump seal failure. Use what the engine calls for — G13, MB-Approval, BMW-specific and others are not interchangeable.

My coolant level drops but I see no leak. Plastic housing seeps evaporate off a hot engine before they drip, which is why the level falls with no puddle. A pressure test finds it.
Milky residue in the expansion tank — head gasket? Not necessarily. On some engines an oil-to-coolant heat exchanger failure produces the same symptom and is far less severe. Read our guide on milky coolant →
Can I top up with a different coolant? Avoid it. Mixing specifications degrades the corrosion inhibitor package and is a known cause of early pump seal failure.
