Complete Guide: Bentley Radiator Grille Set (2012-2026) - Aftermarket & Genuine

Few automotive design elements are as globally recognized and universally admired as the Bentley matrix radiator grille. A symbol of opulence, British engineering, and sheer road presence, the Bentley grille is the defining focal point of the vehicle. For owners of the 2012-2016 generation—encompassing the beloved Continental GT, GTC, and Flying Spur—maintaining or upgrading this front fascia is a critical aspect of vehicle ownership.

Whether you have suffered front-end damage and need a complete Bentley grille set replacement, you are looking to upgrade your W12 to a more aggressive blacked-out V8 style, or you are an enthusiast looking to add a "Bentley-style" mesh grille to a Chrysler 300 or Mercedes-Benz, navigating the luxury parts market requires expertise.

This comprehensive guide breaks down everything from the exact Bentley grille set price to sourcing the right Bentley grille set replacement parts, ensuring your vehicle retains its aristocratic aesthetic without compromising on quality.

The 2012-2026 Era: Understanding the Bentley Grille DNA

The years 2012 to 2016 mark the core of the second-generation Bentley Continental GT and the corresponding Flying Spur sedan. During this era, Bentley utilized the grille not just as an air intake, but as a subtle indicator of what was lurking under the hood.

If you are looking for a Bentley grille set for sale for a 2012-2026 model, you will generally encounter two primary factory styles:

The W12 Flagship Grille: Vehicles equipped with the massive 6.0L W12 engine traditionally featured a bright, fully chromed stainless-steel matrix mesh grille. This was paired with the classic "Black Label" Bentley winged B badge. It screams traditional luxury.
The V8 Sport Grille: Introduced around 2012, the 4.0L Twin-Turbo V8 models were marketed as the sportier, more aggressive option. These grilles featured a gloss black matrix mesh, a bright chrome surround, a specialized center dividing bar, and the iconic "Red Label" winged B badge.

Understanding which model you have—or which aesthetic you are trying to achieve—is the very first step before purchasing any Bentley grille set replacement parts.

Genuine OEM vs. Aftermarket Grilles: Which is Right for You?

When it comes time to replace the front of your Bentley, you face the classic automotive dilemma: stick to Genuine OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or explore the aftermarket.

Genuine OEM Bentley Grilles

The Pros: Uncompromising quality. Genuine grilles are manufactured from high-grade woven stainless steel (not molded plastic) and heavy-duty chrome plating that withstands years of road debris and harsh weather. Fitment is guaranteed to be millimeter-perfect.

The Cons: The price. Buying a brand-new, factory-sealed radiator grille directly from a Bentley dealership in Dubai, London, or Los Angeles comes with a massive premium.

High-Quality Aftermarket Bentley Grilles

The Pros: Affordability and customization. The aftermarket sector offers incredible variety. If you want a full carbon-fiber surround, a matte-black "stealth" matrix mesh, or a Mansory-style wide-mouth look, the aftermarket is your playground.

The Cons: Variable quality. While top-tier aftermarket brands use real stainless steel, cheaper alternatives might use ABS plastic. Plastic grilles look fine from a distance but will chip, crack, and fade much faster under high UV exposure and highway speeds.

Exploring the Cost: Bentley Grille Set Price Guide

Because a Bentley is a hand-assembled luxury grand tourer, parts pricing reflects its exotic pedigree. The Bentley grille set price varies wildly depending on whether you are buying new, used, or aftermarket.

Brand New OEM (Dealership): For a 2012-2016 Continental GT, a complete factory-new grille set (which includes the outer chrome shell, the inner stainless matrix, and the badge) typically ranges from $2,500 to $4,500+, depending on the exact sub-model (Speed, Supersports, base).

Used/Refurbished OEM: Sourcing a grille from a specialized exotic auto dismantler is a smart move. A pristine, used OEM grille will usually cost between $800 and $1,500.

High-End Aftermarket: A quality aftermarket stainless-steel setup (often offering a custom black-out look) generally runs between $500 and $1,200.

Pro Tip: When searching for a Bentley grille set for sale, always ask if the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) sensor dome is included or compatible. The 2012-2016 models often have a radar dome integrated into the lower matrix, and buying a grille without the proper ACC cutout can disable your cruise control and trigger dashboard warning lights.

The "Bentley Style" Phenomenon: Chrysler 300 and Mercedes

The woven matrix grille is so iconic that it has spawned an entire sub-industry of aftermarket styling for other vehicle brands. Car enthusiasts often want to capture that ultra-luxurious British aesthetic for their own daily drivers.

The Famous "Bentley Grill Chrysler 300"

Perhaps no car in history has embraced the Bentley look more than the Chrysler 300 (specifically the 300C). With its high beltline, wide stance, and bold front fascia, the Chrysler 300 already features proportions that mimic a luxury saloon.

Installing a Bentley grill chrysler 300 aftermarket kit is one of the most popular modifications in the world. By swapping out the standard horizontal plastic slats of the factory Chrysler grille for a heavy-duty, chrome wire-mesh matrix grille, the 300 is instantly transformed. These "Bentley-style" kits are highly affordable—often ranging from $100 to $300—and usually feature a direct bolt-on design that requires no cutting or drilling.

"Bentley Grills MERCEDES" Upgrades

While Mercedes-Benz has its own iconic grilles (such as the Panamericana or the Diamond Block), many S-Class, E-Class, and Maybach owners prefer the dense, woven-wire look of a Bentley.

When you look for Bentley grills MERCEDES, you are typically finding high-end, custom-fabricated stainless steel mesh inserts designed to fit the factory Mercedes bumper. Companies like Strut or Asanti have historically made these heavy, polished mesh grilles for the Mercedes G-Wagon and S-Class, giving German engineering a touch of British high-society flair.

How to Handle a Bentley Grille Set Replacement

If you own a 2012-2016 Continental GT or Flying Spur and need to perform a Bentley grille set replacement, be prepared for a slightly labor-intensive process. Unlike older cars where the grille simply unbolts from the hood, modern Bentleys integrate the grille deeply into the front fascia aerodynamics.

1. Removing the Front Bumper

On the 2012-2016 models, the radiator grille is bolted into the front bumper cover from behind. To remove the grille, you must first remove the entire front bumper. This requires carefully unbolting the undertray, disconnecting the wheel arch liners, and unplugging the parking sensors, headlight washers, and ACC radar.

2. Disassembling the Grille Unit

Once the bumper is safely off the car and placed on a soft blanket, you can access the Torx screws holding the grille surround in place. The grille usually comes apart in pieces: the outer brightwork shell, the inner mesh matrix, and the center reinforcement bar.

3. Sourcing Bentley Grille Set Replacement Parts

If your grille is only partially damaged (for example, a rock dented the mesh but the chrome shell is fine), you don't necessarily have to buy a whole new unit. Specialized European parts dealers sell individual Bentley grille set replacement parts, allowing you to just buy the inner matrix mesh or just the winged B badge, saving you thousands of dollars.

Conclusion

The radiator grille is the face of a vehicle, and the Bentley matrix mesh is automotive royalty. Whether you are painstakingly restoring a 2014 Continental GT W12 back to its showroom glory, blacking out a V8 for a sinister night-rider look, or elevating the presence of a Chrysler 300, understanding the market for these parts is crucial.

By balancing your budget between Genuine OEM components and high-quality aftermarket alternatives, and by ensuring you have the correct fitment for integrated sensors, you can ensure your vehicle's front end remains a masterpiece of design.
