Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose Lemförder over a cheaper aftermarket or "track" mount?
The 997 Turbo's handling and NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) characteristics are incredibly sensitive. Cheap aftermarket mounts often use inferior, solid rubber or polyurethane that transmits harsh, rattling vibrations straight into your steering wheel and cabin. Lemförder provides the genuine factory fluid-filled design, delivering the perfect blend of structural rigidity to handle Turbo horsepower without ruining the luxury ride.
Is this for the Left (Driver) or Right (Passenger) side?
Both! This specific Porsche engine mount is non-directional. The exact same part number (99737504908) is used for both the Left and Right sides of the engine. (Note: Please add a quantity of two (2) to your cart if you are replacing both mounts).
Will this fit my 997 Turbo if I have the Sport Chrono package?
It depends. This specific part number is the Standard hydro-mount. It does not feature the electronic plug-in connector used on vehicles highly optioned with PADM (Porsche Active Drivetrain Mounts - Option Code I140). You must verify your vehicle's build sheet or look at your current mounts for an electrical wire before purchasing.
Should I replace both engine mounts at the same time?
It is highly recommended to replace engine mounts in pairs. Since both mounts support the exact same engine weight and endure identical acceleration forces, if one mount has sagged, the other is undoubtedly compromised. Replacing just one will put uneven stress on the brand-new mount.
