The Range Rover is Land Rover's flagship and the vehicle that created the luxury SUV category. Our catalogue covers the L322 (2002–2012), the L405 (2012–2021) and the current L460 (2021 onward), across the supercharged and naturally aspirated petrol V8s, the TDV6 and SDV8 diesels, the P400 mild hybrid, and the P440e and P510e plug-in hybrids.
Every part is sourced through the official supply chain and matched to chassis code, engine code and production date. This matters unusually much on the Range Rover, because the vehicle changed ownership and engineering partners across those generations — the L322 carries substantial BMW-era engineering, while the L405 and L460 are Jaguar Land Rover designs with Ingenium and JLR powertrains. Parts do not carry across generations in the way the shared model name suggests. Send us your VIN and we will confirm before you order.

L322 (2002–2012) — Developed under BMW ownership and launched with BMW M62 and M57 engines before moving to Jaguar-sourced V8s in 2005 and the TDV8 diesel in 2007. A genuinely mixed-parentage vehicle: early cars use BMW electrical architecture and engine components, later cars do not. Identifying the model year precisely is essential on this generation — more so than on any other Range Rover. Air suspension, cooling plastics and front suspension bushings are the recurring items.
L405 (2012–2021) — The all-aluminium monocoque generation, a substantial weight reduction over the L322, with supercharged V6 and V8 petrols, SDV6 and SDV8 diesels, and the P400e plug-in hybrid from 2018. This is the highest-volume generation in the used market and the one with the greatest service parts demand. Air suspension struts and compressor, the supercharger intercooler pump, timing chain concerns on some diesel units, and electrical faults traced to low battery voltage dominate the workload.
L460 (2021–) — The current car on the MLA-Flex architecture, with mild-hybrid straight-sixes, the BMW-sourced 4.4-litre V8, and the P440e and P510e plug-in hybrids. All-wheel steering is standard on most variants and adds its own service considerations. Driver assistance hardware is model-year specific and revised frequently.
Air suspension. The defining Range Rover system and the dominant ownership cost across every generation. Struts, compressor, valve block, air lines, the reservoir and ride height sensors form one connected system rather than four independent corners. The failure chain is consistent: a strut develops a leak, the compressor runs continuously to compensate, and the compressor burns out second. If the vehicle settles overnight, rises slowly, or the compressor runs longer than it used to, address it immediately — catching the strut early often saves the compressor. Replace struts in axle pairs. In GCC ambient temperatures and on vehicles that see genuine off-road use, the compressor and air lines work considerably harder than the European design case assumed. Suspension and steering. Beyond the air springs, the Range Rover carries substantial control arm and trailing arm bushings supporting well over two tonnes. These wear on a schedule set by mass rather than mileage, with the familiar progression: a knock over expansion joints, then vague on-centre steering, then inner-edge tyre wear misdiagnosed as an alignment fault. A four-wheel alignment is required after any of them are disturbed. Land Rover control arms → · Wheel hubs & bearings →
Brakes. Vehicle mass makes brakes a consumable here. Pad and disc specification varies by engine output and wheel size, and the plug-in hybrids carry additional weight over the equivalent combustion cars. On hybrids, regenerative braking means the friction brakes work less and corrode more, so discs frequently fail on corrosion rather than wear. The pad wear sensor is a separate part number and is single-use. Land Rover brake pads & rotors → · Brake rotors →
Cooling. On supercharged petrol V8s, the intercooler circuit has its own electric pump that is a known failure point and is frequently overlooked because it is separate from the main cooling circuit. Thermostat housings, coolant hoses and expansion tanks harden considerably faster in Gulf heat than in the European design case — a hose that lasts eight years in Europe fails in four in Dubai. Replace clamps and O-rings with the hose rather than reusing them, and keep to the correct coolant specification. Coolant parts → · Radiators → · Water pumps →
Filters and service consumables. Filters follow the engine family rather than the model year, and the Range Rover has carried an unusually wide spread of engines — BMW M62 and M57, Jaguar AJ-V8, TDV6 and SDV8, Ingenium units and the current straight-sixes all take different elements. Diesel cars add fuel filter, DPF and AdBlue considerations, and short-journey urban use in the Gulf is the duty cycle most likely to cause DPF regeneration problems. Order the complete service kit: the sump plug sealing washer and filter housing O-ring are single-use and are the items most often missing when a service stalls halfway. Cabin filters in Gulf dust deserve a materially shorter interval than the book figure. Air filters → · Oil filters → · Service kits →
Transmission and driveline. The ZF 8HP is used across the L405 and L460 and later L322 cars, described as lifetime-fill but degrading well ahead of that assumption in a heavy vehicle in Gulf heat. Harsh 1–2 shifts, delayed engagement from Park and torque converter lock-up shudder around 40–70 km/h are the early signals, and a fluid and pan-filter service at that stage costs a fraction of a mechatronic unit. The transfer case and both differentials carry their own fluids and their own service requirements, and all three are routinely overlooked — particularly on vehicles used off-road or towing. Electrical, sensors and PHEV. Battery condition is the first thing to check on any Range Rover electrical complaint, not the last. These vehicles carry heavy parasitic loads, and a degraded battery produces a multi-module fault cascade — air suspension faults, terrain response errors, infotainment failures — that looks catastrophic on a diagnostic scan and clears entirely once voltage is restored. Beyond that, most module failures turn out to be sensor, earth or connector faults. For P400e, P440e and P510e plug-in hybrids, battery-circuit coolant pumps, charging port assemblies and high-voltage components are model-year specific and revised frequently — send us the VIN rather than ordering from a model-year match. We supply genuine and OEM accessories, trim and body components for the Range Rover — including grilles, exterior brightwork, lighting units and interior trim. Trim part numbers are tied to interior colour code and equipment level, and lighting and bumper components differ across generations and facelifts, so send your VIN with any body or trim enquiry. Which Range Rover generations do you supply parts for? L322 (2002–2012), L405 (2012–2021) and L460 (2021 onward), across petrol, diesel, mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants. See also Range Rover Sport, Velar and Evoque.
My Range Rover sits low overnight — what is failing? Almost always an air strut leaking down rather than the compressor. The compressor failure that usually follows is a consequence of it running continuously to compensate. Diagnose and replace the strut early, in axle pairs, and you may save the compressor.
Are L322 parts the same as L405 parts? Largely no. The L322 was engineered under BMW ownership on a steel monocoque; the L405 is an all-aluminium JLR design. Very little carries across. Early and late L322 cars also differ substantially from each other, since engines and electrical architecture changed mid-generation.
Multiple warning lights appeared at once — how serious is it? Check battery voltage and charging health first. A degraded battery is the most common cause of a multi-module fault cascade on these vehicles, and the faults typically clear entirely once voltage is restored. Replacing modules before confirming battery condition is an expensive and frequent mistake.
