Is this a complete bolt-on hub assembly?
No. This is a bare steel press-in cartridge bearing. It does not come with a metal mounting housing or a central 5-lug wheel flange. You must use a hydraulic tool to press this bearing into your existing aluminum wheel carrier, and then press your original 5-lug wheel hub straight into the center of this new bearing.
Is there any physical difference between the rear left and rear right bearings?
No. The rear suspension geometry on the E84 features a completely symmetrical wheel carrier layout. This exact part number fits interchangeably on either the Rear Left or Rear Right side.
Does this fit both standard sDrive and xDrive models?
Yes. BMW standardized the rear wheel carrier and bearing dimensions across the entire E84 X1 lineup. This part fits perfectly whether your vehicle is Rear-Wheel Drive (sDrive) or All-Wheel Drive (xDrive).
