Frequently Asked Questions

Does this kit cover the entire rear axle?
Yes. While the part number 4G432C026AF technically denotes a single rotor in the Aston Martin catalog, this specific profile details them as a Set. You must always replace brake rotors as a matched pair across the axle to ensure perfectly balanced stopping dynamics.
Why does my DB9 say 6.0L but the manual says 5.9L?
This is a famous and fun Aston Martin quirk! The legendary Aston Martin V12 engine displaces exactly 5,935cc. While technically a 5.9L engine mathematically, Aston Martin (and Ford, who originally helped develop the block) chose to badge and market it as a 6.0L V12 for prestige. These rotors fit the DB9 regardless of whether you refer to it as a 5.9L or a 6.0L.
Should I replace the handbrake pads while I'm doing the rear brakes?
Highly Recommended. Because the DB9 and V8 Vantage use that completely separate mechanical caliper for the parking brake, the handbrake pads are an entirely separate component from your primary rear brake pads. While you have the rear rotors removed, it is the absolute perfect time to inspect and replace the handbrake pads, as accessing them requires removing the main rotor anyway.
Are these rotors side-specific (Left and Right)?
No. For this standard 330mm rear brake setup, the cast iron vented rotors are non-directional. The exact same rotor can be installed on either the Driver (Left) or Passenger (Right) side of the rear axle.
