Is this the curved arm or the straight arm?
There is often a lot of confusion when ordering lower control arms for these vehicles. This specific part (LR034220) is the straight, forward lower arm that sits directly under and supports the air shock. It is not the heavily curved rearward arm (often called the tension strut) that handles braking vibration.
Is this for the Left or Right side of the vehicle?
This specific part number (LR034220) is strictly for the Front Left (Driver Side). The suspension geometry is highly asymmetrical, meaning it is physically impossible to install this on the passenger side. If you need the matching Right (Passenger) side forward arm, you must order LR034219 (or its modern supersession LR148059).
Does this arm have different versions for Brembo vs. Standard brakes?
No. Unlike the curved rearward arms—which must be shaped differently to clear massive Brembo brake calipers on Supercharged models—this straight forward arm sits safely out of the way of the brake rotor and caliper. Therefore, this exact arm fits all brake packages across the listed models universally.
Do I need a 4-wheel alignment after installing this?
Absolutely. Replacing any lower control arm fundamentally alters your vehicle's caster, camber, and toe geometry. You must have a professional 4-wheel alignment performed immediately after installation. Skipping this step will result in your steering wheel being off-center and will chew through a brand-new set of front tires in a matter of weeks.
