This is a complete, fully integrated wheel hub module. The precision internal dual-row bearings are fully pre-installed, pre-lubricated with genuine Mercedes high-temperature wheel bearing grease, and sealed directly inside the high-strength steel wheel mounting flange.
Is there any physical difference between the front left and front right hub assemblies?
No. The front steering geometry on standard W166/X166 layouts utilizes a completely symmetrical configuration. This specific part number fits interchangeably on either the Left or Right front spindle hub carriers. Replacing them in pairs as a matching axle set is highly recommended to ensure uniform rolling resistance and uniform suspension balance across the front end.
Does this fit both standard Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and 4MATIC models?
Yes. On the W166 and X166 chassis, Mercedes-Benz standardized the front spindle and steering knuckle configuration. Because of this, this specific part number fits seamlessly on both standard Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) models and 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive models. The inner core is pre-splined to smoothly accept front CV drive axles on 4MATIC variants.
