How do I know which of these two front rotors my Vantage needs?
The easiest way is to check your specific model and year. If you drive a standard 4.3L Vantage (2006–2008), you have the 355mm rotors (4G43-28-10265). If you drive a Vantage S, a Vantage GT, or a late-model 4.7L with the upgraded sport braking package, you likely have the 380mm slotted rotors (BG33-1125-AA). When in doubt, provide your VIN to an Aston Martin specialist or physically measure the diameter of your current front discs.
Is the "PK" suffix important?
Yes. In Aston Martin's catalog, the PK suffix usually designates a "Pack." This often means the part is bundled as a pair (Left and Right rotors) or includes the necessary replacement mounting hub screws. Always verify the quantity with your specific vendor before checking out to ensure you don't accidentally buy four rotors!
Should I replace the brake pads at the same time?
Always. Old brake pads have already bedded into the microscopic grooves and uneven surfaces of your old rotors. Installing used pads onto a brand-new, perfectly flat rotor will result in a terrible contact patch, severely reduced stopping power, and highly likely brake squeal.
Can I upgrade my 355mm brakes to the 380mm rotors?
Not without other modifications. The larger 380mm rotors (BG33-1125-AA) will not clear the standard brake calipers used on the 355mm setup. To upgrade, you would also need the larger 6-piston brake calipers and corresponding caliper mounting brackets.
