OEM Mercedes-Benz CLA Parts

The CLA is Mercedes' compact four-door coupé and the model that brought the marque's styling language to the entry segment. Our catalogue covers the C117 (2013–2019) and C118 (2019 onward), including the Shooting Brake estate bodies and the AMG CLA 35 and 45 variants.

Every part is matched to chassis code, engine code and production date. The important structural fact: the CLA is a transverse front-wheel-drive car on the MFA platform, shared with the A-Class, B-Class, GLA and GLB — not a scaled-down C-Class. Suspension, driveline and transmission share nothing with the rear-drive Mercedes range. Send us your VIN and we will confirm before you order.

Mercedes-Benz CLA Maintenance Parts

CLA maintenance is light by Mercedes standards, but the 7G-DCT adds a fluid and filter service that is often skipped and is the single most valuable item on the list.

Filters and service consumables. Filters follow the engine family rather than the model year — M270, M260, M133, M139 and OM651 all take different elements. ASSYST PLUS assumes MB-Approval specification oil. Order the complete service kit, since the oil filter housing O-ring and sump plug crush washer are single-use. Cabin filters in Gulf dust deserve a shorter interval than the book figure. Air filters → · Oil filters → · Service kits →

Brakes. Standard, AMG Line and AMG 35 and 45 cars take different disc diameters and pad compounds — the 45 in particular is substantially uprated. The wear sensor is a separate part number and is single-use. Mercedes brake pads & rotors → · Brake rotors →

Cooling. The M270 and M260 four-cylinder engines seep from thermostat housings and plastic coolant pipework long before any temperature warning appears — a sweet smell and a slowly falling expansion tank are the first evidence. AMG 45 models carry substantially more cooling and charge-air hardware and work it harder. In Gulf conditions hoses and expansion tanks harden well ahead of the European design case. About Mercedes-Benz CLA Parts

Parts for the CLA divide by generation before anything else. Identifying the chassis code — C117 and C118 — is the first step in ordering correctly, and facelift revisions within a generation matter as much as the generation change itself.

C117 (2013–2019) — The first generation on MFA, with M270 and M133 petrol engines and the OM651 diesel, plus the CLA 45 AMG. The Shooting Brake arrived in 2015 and a facelift in 2016 revised lighting and interior components. Recurring work centres on the 7G-DCT dual-clutch transmission, front suspension bushings and cooling components.

C118 (2019–) — MFA2 platform with M260 and M139 engines, revised electronics including MBUX, and the CLA 35 and 45 AMG variants. Driver assistance hardware is model-year specific. Little carries over from the C117 despite the shared concept.

The 7G-DCT dual-clutch transmission. This is the defining service consideration on the CLA and the one most often mishandled. Unlike the torque-converter automatics in the rear-drive Mercedes range, the 7G-DCT is a wet dual-clutch unit with a defined fluid service interval — it is not lifetime-fill, whatever the schedule implies, and it does not tolerate a skipped service the way a torque converter will absorb one. Jerky low-speed take-up, shudder pulling away from rest, and hesitation between first and second are the early warnings, and a fluid and filter service at that stage costs a fraction of clutch or mechatronic work. Do not substitute standard ATF, and do not cross-reference to the 7G-Tronic or 9G-Tronic used in rear-drive cars — they are entirely different units that happen to share a naming convention. Transmission parts → · Transmission & engine mounts →

Suspension and steering. Transverse front-wheel-drive architecture with MacPherson struts front and, depending on variant, a torsion beam or multi-link rear. Front lower control arm bushings and top mounts are the wear items, presenting as a knock over expansion joints and vague on-centre steering. These components share nothing with rear-drive Mercedes models — ordering by marque rather than platform is the common error here. A four-wheel alignment is required after any arm is disturbed. Control arms → · Shocks & springs → · Wheel hubs & bearings →

Electrical and sensors. Most faults presented as module failures are sensor, earth or connector faults — position sensors, oxygen sensors, wheel speed sensors, and corroded connectors at the rear lamp clusters and boot harness. Check battery and charging health before condemning any module. Electrical parts → · Oxygen sensors →

Genuine Mercedes-Benz CLA Accessories

We supply genuine and OEM trim, body and lighting components for the CLA and CLA Shooting Brake. Lighting and bumper parts differ between C117 and C118 and across the 2016 facelift, and AMG body components are variant-specific — send your VIN with any body or trim enquiry. FAQ

Is the 7G-DCT the same as the 7G-Tronic? No, and this is the most costly confusion on the model. The 7G-DCT is a wet dual-clutch unit in transverse front-drive cars; the 7G-Tronic is a torque-converter automatic in rear-drive cars. Different fluid, different service, no shared parts.

My car shudders pulling away from rest. On a DCT that is the classic early clutch or fluid signal. Service the fluid and filter now rather than monitoring — it costs a fraction of clutch pack work.

Are CLA parts the same as C-Class parts? No. The CLA is transverse front-wheel drive on MFA; the C-Class is longitudinal rear-wheel drive. Suspension, driveline and transmission share nothing.

Are C117 and C118 parts interchangeable? Largely not. MFA2 was a substantial change, and lighting, electronics and much of the running gear differ.

How quickly will my order ship? In-stock orders dispatch from our UAE or USA warehouse with full tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • Genuine Parts: These are the exact components installed at the factory, arriving in the original vehicle manufacturer’s branded packaging (e.g., Porsche or BMW).
