Audi A3 Parts | Genuine OEM — 8P, 8V, 8Y, S3, RS 3

OEM Audi A3 Parts

The A3 is Audi's compact premium hatchback and saloon, and the highest-volume entry point to the range. Our catalogue covers the 8P (2003–2012), 8V (2012–2020) and 8Y (2020 onward), across Sportback, saloon and cabriolet bodies, plus the S3 and RS 3 performance variants.

Every part is matched to chassis code, engine code and production date. The A3 is a transverse MQB-platform car sharing extensively with the VW Golf, SEAT León and Škoda Octavia of its generation — useful for availability, but the boundaries between shared and Audi-specific parts are not intuitive. Send us your VIN and we will confirm before you order.

Generations of the A3

8P (2003–2012) — Now a mature platform with substantial independent service demand. 2.0 TFSI and TDI engines, plus the S3. Recurring work centres on the timing chain tensioner on early 2.0 TFSI engines, cooling components, and DSG mechatronic faults on dual-clutch cars.

8V (2012–2020) — The MQB generation and the volume car in the current used market. EA888 2.0 TFSI, 1.4 and 1.8 TFSI, TDI diesels, plus the S3 and the five-cylinder RS 3. The 2016 facelift revised lighting and front-end components. The EA888 integrated water pump and thermostat module is the defining failure point.

8Y (2020–) — MQB Evo with mild-hybrid assistance on many variants and revised electronics. Driver assistance hardware is model-year specific.

About A3 Parts

Cooling and the EA888 water pump module. The most common failure on this car. On the EA888 the water pump and thermostat form a single integrated plastic module, and it seeps from the housing seam long before any temperature warning appears — the first evidence is usually a sweet smell and a slowly dropping expansion tank rather than a gauge reading. Stay with G13 coolant specification; mixing types causes premature pump seal failure. In Gulf conditions hoses and expansion tanks harden well ahead of the European design case. The DSG / S tronic transmission. The defining service consideration on the A3 and the one most often mishandled. The DQ250 and DQ381 wet-clutch and DQ200 dry-clutch dual-clutch units all carry defined fluid service intervals — they are not lifetime-fill, and they do not tolerate a skipped service the way a torque-converter automatic will absorb one. Jerky low-speed take-up, shudder pulling away from rest, and hesitation between first and second are the early warnings, and a fluid and filter service at that stage costs a fraction of clutch pack or mechatronic work. Wet and dry clutch units take entirely different fluids — confirm which your car carries before ordering. Transmission parts → · Transmission mounts → · Audi engine mounts →

Suspension and steering. MacPherson struts front with, depending on drivetrain, a torsion beam or multi-link rear — front-drive and quattro cars differ here, which is a common ordering error. Front lower control arm bushings and top mounts are the wear items, presenting as a knock over expansion joints and vague on-centre steering. A four-wheel alignment is required after any arm is disturbed. Lower control arms → · Shock absorbers → · Wheel hubs & bearings →

Brakes. Specification follows the PR code on the vehicle data sticker rather than the model. S3 and RS 3 differ substantially from the standard car. The wear sensor is a separate part number and is single-use. Audi brake pads & rotors → · Brake rotors →

Filters and service consumables. Filters follow the engine family rather than the model year — EA888, the 1.4 TFSI, the five-cylinder RS 3 engine and the TDI range all take different elements. Audi's service regime assumes VW 504 00 or 508 00 specification oil. Order the complete service kit: the oil filter housing O-ring and sump plug sealing washer are single-use. Cabin filters in Gulf dust deserve a shorter interval than the book figure. Air filters → · Oil filters → · Service kits →

Electrical and sensors. Most module-failure complaints resolve to sensor, earth or connector faults. The ECU is calibrated around the OEM sensor's output curve, so an aftermarket unit reading slightly off runs the engine permanently compensated without setting a code. The electromechanical parking brake fault is usually an actuator motor or corroded connector rather than a module, and calipers must be retracted electronically before rear pad service. Genuine A3 Accessories

We supply genuine and OEM trim, body and lighting components for the A3 Sportback, saloon and cabriolet. Lighting and bumper parts differ across generations and facelifts, and trim numbers are tied to interior colour code and equipment level — send your VIN with any body or trim enquiry. FAQ

My coolant drops with no visible leak. On the EA888, almost always the integrated water pump and thermostat module seeping at the housing seam. It evaporates off a hot engine before it drips.

My car shudders pulling away from rest. On a DSG that is the classic early clutch or fluid signal. Service the fluid and filter now rather than monitoring — it costs a fraction of clutch pack work.

Which DSG fluid does my car take? It depends on whether you have a wet-clutch or dry-clutch unit. They are not interchangeable. Send us the VIN before ordering.

Do front-drive and quattro A3s take the same rear suspension parts? No — they use different rear axle designs. This is a common ordering error. Confirm drivetrain before ordering.

How quickly will my order ship? In-stock orders dispatch from our UAE or USA warehouse with full tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • Genuine Parts: These are the exact components installed at the factory, arriving in the original vehicle manufacturer’s branded packaging (e.g., Porsche or BMW).
    • OEM Parts: These are produced by the same manufacturers that supply the car brands (e.g., Bosch, Brembo, Lemförder) but are sold in the supplier’s own packaging, often at a more competitive price.
    • Aftermarket Parts: These are third-party components designed to meet or exceed original specifications.
