Mercedes-AMG GT Parts | Genuine OEM — C190, X290, GT R

OEM Mercedes-AMG GT Parts

The AMG GT is Mercedes-AMG's front-mid-engine sports car, built on its own aluminium spaceframe rather than adapted from a saloon platform. Our catalogue covers the C190 coupé and R190 roadster (2015–2021) and the four-door X290, across GT, GT S, GT C, GT R and GT 63 variants.

Every part is matched to chassis code, engine code and production date. One distinction matters more than any other here: the two-door C190 and the four-door X290 are different cars on different platforms despite sharing the AMG GT name — the X290 is built on the AMG-modified MRA architecture shared with the E-Class and CLS. Ordering across the two is a genuine and expensive error. Send us your VIN and we will confirm before you order.

Mercedes-AMG GT Maintenance Parts

AMG GT servicing is specification-sensitive: brake package, transaxle fluid and filter specification all change with variant. Order against the VIN rather than the model year.

Filters and service consumables. AMG service intervals are defined in time as well as distance, and that matters because these cars typically cover low annual mileage. A car doing 3,000 km a year still needs its annual oil and filter service — oil degrades by oxidation and moisture contamination, and short journeys from cold are the harshest possible duty cycle for a twin-turbo V8. Filters follow the engine family: M178, M177 and M256 all differ. Order the complete service kit, since sealing washers and housing O-rings are single-use. Brakes and carbon ceramic. Pad and disc specification varies by variant and by whether carbon ceramic brakes were fitted, and the distinction is absolute: conventional pad compounds destroy a ceramic friction layer within a single service interval, and ceramic discs cannot be resurfaced. Replacement is the only remedy, at many times the cost of the pads responsible. GT R and GT R Pro carry their own specification again. The wear sensor is a separate part number front and rear and is single-use. Confirm the brake specification against the build sheet before ordering anything in this category. Cooling. The M178 and M177 V8s carry substantial cooling and charge-air hardware in a tightly packaged bay, and access dominates the labour on any cooling repair — the argument for replacing hoses, clamps and O-rings while the area is already open. Front-mounted radiators sit low and take stone and debris damage as a matter of routine. In GCC ambient temperatures both the engine and charge-air circuits work considerably harder than the European design case assumed. Coolant parts → · Radiators → · Intercoolers →

About Mercedes-AMG GT Parts

Parts for the AMG GT divide by generation before anything else. Identifying the chassis code — C190 / R190 two-door and X290 four-door — is the first step in ordering correctly, and facelift revisions within a generation matter as much as the generation change itself.

C190 / R190 two-door (2015–2021) — The M178 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with a rear-mounted seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle. GT, GT S, GT C, GT R and GT R Pro, plus the R190 roadster. A 2017 facelift revised the front end and interior. Carbon ceramic brakes were optional on most variants and standard on some.

X290 four-door (2018–2023) — Built on MRA rather than the sports car platform, with the M177 V8 or the M256 straight-six in the GT 43 and GT 53, and the nine-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT rather than the transaxle DCT. Air suspension is standard. Mechanically much closer to an E-Class AMG than to the two-door GT.

Transmission. The two-door cars use a rear-mounted seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle — a genuinely different unit from anything else in the Mercedes range, taking its own fluid specification and carrying the final drive within the same housing. Do not substitute standard ATF, and do not cross-reference to the nine-speed MCT used in the four-door. Fluid condition affects the differential as well as the clutches, which is why a fluid service matters more here than the schedule suggests. Hesitant low-speed take-up and shudder pulling away from rest are the early warnings. Transmission parts → · Transmission & engine mounts →

Suspension. The two-door cars use double wishbones front and rear with adaptive damping; the four-door adds AIRMATIC air suspension as standard, which brings the usual linked-system considerations — a leaking strut left in service burns out the compressor. Replace dampers in axle pairs; mixing a new damper with a worn one on the same axle gives the control module inconsistent inputs. Because many of these cars cover low annual mileage, bushings and dampers age on a calendar basis. Axle & steering → · Shocks & springs → · Air suspension compressors →

Electrical and sensors. Battery condition deserves checking first on a car that spends time standing — a degraded battery produces a multi-module fault cascade that looks alarming on a scan and clears once voltage is restored. Use a conditioner if the car is stored. Beyond that, most module failures are sensor, earth or connector faults. Electrical parts → · Oxygen sensors →

Genuine Mercedes-AMG GT Accessories

We supply genuine and OEM trim, body and lighting components. Body panels and aerodynamic components are variant-specific — GT R and GT R Pro items in particular do not cross-reference to standard cars — and two-door and four-door share almost nothing externally. Send your VIN with any body or trim enquiry. Browse body parts → or contact our team.

FAQ

Are two-door and four-door AMG GT parts interchangeable? Very little. They are different platforms — the C190 is a bespoke sports car chassis with a transaxle DCT, the X290 is MRA-based with a nine-speed MCT and air suspension. Confirm which car you have before ordering anything.

Does my car have carbon ceramic brakes? They were optional on most variants and standard on some. It matters absolutely, since conventional pads destroy ceramic discs. Check the build sheet or send us the VIN.

Can I use standard ATF in the transaxle? No. The seven-speed DCT takes its own specification, and it also lubricates the final drive. Substituting is an expensive mistake.

The car is stored most of the year — what should I prioritise? Annual oil and filter service regardless of distance, a battery conditioner, and calendar-based inspection of hoses, bushings and brake discs.

How quickly will my order ship? In-stock orders dispatch from our UAE or USA warehouse with full tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Because the AMG GT spans multiple chassis codes (C190, R190, X290) and performance tiers, part numbers can vary wildly. The most accurate way to guarantee compatibility is by using our VIN verification service at checkout, allowing our specialists to match the exact factory part to your vehicle's build sheet via our EPC systems.

    • Genuine Parts: These are the exact components installed at the factory, arriving in the original vehicle manufacturer’s branded packaging (e.g., Porsche or BMW).
    • OEM Parts: These are produced by the same manufacturers that supply the car brands (e.g., Bosch, Brembo, Lemförder) but are sold in the supplier’s own packaging, often at a more competitive price.
    • Aftermarket Parts: These are third-party components designed to meet or exceed original specifications.
