Audi A5 Parts | Genuine OEM — B8, B9, S5, RS 5

OEM Audi A5 Parts

The A5 is the coupé, Sportback and cabriolet counterpart to the A4, sharing its platform and the majority of its running gear. Our catalogue covers the B8 (2007–2016) and B9 (2016 onward), including S5 and RS 5 variants.

Every part is matched to chassis code, engine code and production date. The A4 relationship is the practical starting point: mechanical, cooling, suspension and driveline components largely cross-reference, while body panels, glass and, on the cabriolet, the roof mechanism are A5-specific. See A4 parts →. Send us your VIN and we will confirm before you order.

Generations of the A5

B8 (2007–2016) — The original, with EA888 2.0 TFSI, 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6 and TDI diesels, plus the S5 and RS 5. The 2011 facelift revised lighting and front-end components. Front control arm wear, the EA888 integrated water pump and thermostat module, and on cabriolets the fabric roof mechanism are the recurring items.

B9 (2016–) — MLB Evo platform shared with the B9 A4, with revised electronics and, on later cars, mild-hybrid assistance. The 2019 facelift changed lighting and bumper components substantially.

About A5 Parts

Cabriolet roof mechanism. Worth treating as its own system on convertible cars. The fabric roof uses a hydraulic pump, cylinders, position sensors and microswitches, and a roof that refuses to cycle is far more often a failed microswitch, a position sensor, a leaking hydraulic cylinder, or low battery voltage than a failed pump — diagnose before replacing anything expensive. Hydraulic seals fail with age rather than use, and Gulf heat and UV are hard on roof fabric and seals regardless of mileage. Blocked roof drain channels cause water ingress that gets misdiagnosed as seal failure.

Frameless doors. All A5 bodies use frameless door glass. Window seals and the drop-glass mechanism are wear items under Gulf sun — wind noise and water ingress usually trace to perished seals rather than misaligned glass, so replace the seals before chasing alignment.

Suspension and steering. The multi-link front suspension carries four control arms per side, with the upper forward arms typically wearing first — a knock over expansion joints, then vague on-centre steering, then inner-edge tyre wear misdiagnosed as alignment. Replace the affected side as a set rather than a single arm. A four-wheel alignment is required afterwards. Upper control arms → · Lower control arms → · Shock absorbers →

Cooling. On the EA888 2.0 TFSI the water pump and thermostat form a single integrated plastic module and a known failure point, seeping from the housing seam long before any temperature warning appears. The 3.0 TFSI V6 places its thermostat housing in the vee where it is labour-intensive to reach. Supercharged cars run an intercooler circuit with its own electric pump, separate from the main loop. Stay with G13 coolant specification. Coolant parts → · Water pumps → · Radiators →

Brakes. Specification follows the PR code on the vehicle data sticker rather than the model. S5 and RS 5 differ substantially from the standard car, and the RS 5 was offered with carbon ceramic — requiring ceramic-specific pads and not resurfaceable. The wear sensor is a separate part number front and rear and is single-use. Audi brake pads & rotors → · Brake rotors →

Filters and service consumables. Filters follow the engine family rather than the model year. Audi's service regime assumes VW 504 00 or 508 00 specification oil. Order the complete service kit — the oil filter housing O-ring and sump plug sealing washer are single-use. Cabin filters in Gulf dust deserve a shorter interval than the book figure. Transmission. Quattro cars mostly use the DL501 seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch; some use the ZF 8HP torque-converter automatic, and older front-drive cars used the multitronic CVT. Each takes a different fluid specification. S tronic will not tolerate a skipped fluid service — jerky low-speed take-up and shudder pulling away from rest are the early warnings. Confirm which gearbox before ordering. Transmission parts → · Transmission mounts → · Audi engine mounts →

Electrical and sensors. Most module-failure complaints resolve to sensor, earth or connector faults. On cabriolets, check battery and charging health before condemning any module — low voltage will stop the roof cycling and produce a fault cascade that clears once restored. The electromechanical parking brake fault is usually an actuator motor or corroded connector rather than a module. Electrical parts → · Oxygen sensors →

Genuine A5 Accessories

We supply genuine and OEM trim, body and lighting components for the A5 coupé, Sportback and cabriolet. Body panels and glass are A5-specific and do not cross-reference to the A4 despite the shared platform, and roof seals on cabriolets are worth treating as maintenance items under Gulf sun. Send your VIN with any body or trim enquiry. Browse body parts → or contact our team.

FAQ

Are A5 parts the same as A4 parts? Mechanically, largely yes — same platform, same running gear. Body panels, glass and the cabriolet roof are A5-specific. Verify by VIN rather than assumption.

My cabriolet roof will not cycle. Check battery voltage first, then microswitches and position sensors, then hydraulic cylinders for leaks. A failed pump is far less common than any of those.

Wind noise from the doors. On a frameless-door car, usually perished window seals rather than alignment, particularly after years of Gulf sun.

Water in the footwell on my cabriolet. Frequently blocked roof drain channels rather than failed seals. Clear the drains before replacing seals.

How quickly will my order ship? In-stock orders dispatch from our UAE or USA warehouse with full tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • Genuine Parts: These are the exact components installed at the factory, arriving in the original vehicle manufacturer’s branded packaging (e.g., Porsche or BMW).
    • OEM Parts: These are produced by the same manufacturers that supply the car brands (e.g., Bosch, Brembo, Lemförder) but are sold in the supplier’s own packaging, often at a more competitive price.
    • Aftermarket Parts: These are third-party components designed to meet or exceed original specifications.
