Audi Q5 Parts | Genuine OEM — 8R, 80A, SQ5

OEM Audi Q5 Parts

The Q5 is Audi's mid-size SUV and one of the marque's highest-volume models worldwide. Our catalogue covers the 8R (2008–2017) and 80A / FY (2017 onward), including SQ5 variants and the Q5 TFSI e plug-in hybrid.

Every part is matched to chassis code, engine code and production date. The Q5 has carried a wide engine spread — EA888 2.0 TFSI, 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6, and various TDI diesels — and filters, cooling components and service kits all follow the engine rather than the model year. Send us your VIN and we will confirm before you order.

Generations of the Q5

8R (2008–2017) — Built on the B8 A4 platform, which means considerable mechanical cross-reference with that car. EA888 2.0 TFSI, 3.0 TFSI and TDI engines, plus the SQ5. The 2012 facelift revised lighting and front-end components. Recurring work centres on the EA888 integrated water pump and thermostat module, front control arm bushings, and on early 2.0 TFSI engines the timing chain tensioner.

80A / FY (2017–) — MLB Evo platform shared with the B9 A4, lighter and with revised electronics. Air suspension optional. The 2020 facelift changed lighting and bumper components. Driver assistance hardware is model-year specific.

About Q5 Parts

Cooling and the EA888 water pump module. The single most common failure on this vehicle. On the EA888 2.0 TFSI the water pump and thermostat form one integrated plastic module, and it seeps from the housing seam long before any temperature warning appears — the first evidence is usually a sweet smell and a slowly dropping expansion tank rather than a gauge reading. The 3.0 TFSI V6 places its thermostat housing in the vee where it is labour-intensive to reach. Stay with G13 coolant specification — mixing types causes premature pump seal failure. In Gulf conditions hoses and expansion tanks harden well ahead of the European design case. Water pumps → · Coolant parts → · Radiators →

Suspension and steering. The multi-link front suspension carries four control arms per side, with the upper forward arms typically wearing first — a knock over expansion joints, then vague on-centre steering, then inner-edge tyre wear misdiagnosed as an alignment fault. Because the arms share load, replace the affected side as a set rather than a single arm. On air-sprung cars, struts and compressor are a linked system: a leaking strut left in service burns out the compressor. A four-wheel alignment is required after any arm is disturbed. Brakes. Specification follows the PR code on the vehicle data sticker rather than the model, and the SQ5 differs substantially from the standard car. The TFSI e carries additional weight, and on hybrids regenerative braking means the friction brakes work less and corrode more — discs frequently fail on corrosion rather than wear. The wear sensor is a separate part number and is single-use. Audi brake pads & rotors → · Brake rotors →

Filters and service consumables. Filters follow the engine family rather than the model year. Audi's service regime assumes VW 504 00 or 508 00 specification oil. Diesel cars add fuel filter and DPF considerations, and short urban journeys in the Gulf are the duty cycle most likely to cause regeneration problems. Order the complete service kit — the oil filter housing O-ring and sump plug sealing washer are single-use and the items most often missing mid-job. Air filters → · Oil filters → · Service kits →

Transmission and driveline. The Q5 uses either the DL501 seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch or the ZF 8HP torque-converter automatic depending on variant and year, and the two take entirely different fluid specifications. S tronic will not tolerate a skipped fluid service — jerky low-speed take-up, shudder pulling away from rest and hesitation between first and second are the early warnings, and a fluid and filter service then costs a fraction of mechatronic work. The quattro transfer components carry their own fluid requirements. Transmission parts → · Transmission mounts → · Audi engine mounts →

Electrical and sensors. Most module-failure complaints resolve to sensor, earth or connector faults. The ECU is calibrated around the OEM sensor's output curve, so an aftermarket unit reading slightly off runs the engine permanently compensated without setting a code. The electromechanical parking brake fitted across the Q5 range is worth calling out — an EPB malfunction is most often a failed actuator motor or corroded connector rather than a control module, and the calipers must be retracted electronically before any rear pad service. Genuine Q5 Accessories

We supply genuine and OEM trim, body and lighting components for the Q5 and Q5 Sportback. Lighting and bumper parts differ between 8R and 80A and across facelifts, and trim numbers are tied to interior colour code and equipment level — send your VIN with any body or trim enquiry. FAQ

My coolant drops with no visible leak. On the EA888, almost always the integrated water pump and thermostat module seeping at the housing seam. It evaporates off a hot engine before it drips — a pressure test finds it. This is the most common Q5 fault we supply for.

Are Q5 parts the same as A4 parts? Many mechanical items cross-reference, since the 8R is built on the B8 A4 and the 80A on the B9. Body, suspension geometry and ride height components differ. Verify by VIN.

My car knocks over bumps. Usually a front upper control arm. Replace the affected side as a set rather than a single arm.

Which gearbox does my Q5 have? Either the DL501 S tronic or the ZF 8HP depending on variant and year. They take different fluids — send us the VIN before ordering.

How quickly will my order ship? In-stock orders dispatch from our UAE or USA warehouse with full tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • Genuine Parts: These are the exact components installed at the factory, arriving in the original vehicle manufacturer’s branded packaging (e.g., Porsche or BMW).
    • OEM Parts: These are produced by the same manufacturers that supply the car brands (e.g., Bosch, Brembo, Lemförder) but are sold in the supplier’s own packaging, often at a more competitive price.
    • Aftermarket Parts: These are third-party components designed to meet or exceed original specifications.
