Is the Right mount different from the Left mount?
Yes. While they look similar, part number 4G0199381LD is specifically for the Right (Passenger) side. The Left (Driver) side requires part number 4G0199381LC. They are not interchangeable due to the mounting bracket angles.
Why did my original mount fail?
Audi hydraulic mounts typically fail in two ways: either the internal rubber seal cracks and leaks the purple/black hydraulic fluid, or the internal electronic solenoid fails, triggering an "Open Circuit" fault code in the ECU.
Will this mount clear my "EPC" or Check Engine Light?
If your diagnostic scan shows a "P1573" or similar motor mount solenoid code, replacing the mount with this active unit will allow you to clear the code and restore the system to factory operation.
Does this include the heat shield?
No, this unit is designed to reuse your factory metal heat shield. Be sure to transfer the shield from your old mount to protect the rubber and electrical plug from the nearby exhaust manifold.
