The MLB Evo platform rear brake compound is calibrated to deliver the correct brake bias in conjunction with the front system — ensuring progressive deceleration feel and stability under all conditions. Factory compound ensures compatibility with the OEM rear caliper geometry, EPB (electric parking brake) actuator, and rotor metallurgy. Incorrect aftermarket compounds on EPB-equipped vehicles can produce servo-motor overload and parking brake system faults. This factory-spec set ensures correct compound, EPB compatibility, and wear sensor specification.
Installation Note
Replace rear pads as a full axle set. Retract EPB pistons via OBD tool before installation — do not press pistons in without retracting. Reset brake service indicator. Verify EPB calibration and function before returning to service.
