Bentley Continental GT, GTC & Flying Spur Front Control Arm Kit, 8 Pieces (3W0407505, 3W0407151)

This is a complete front control arm kit for the Bentley Continental GT, Continental GTC and Flying Spur: eight front arms covering the upper forward, upper rearward, lower forward and lower rearward positions on both sides. The kit replaces OEM numbers 3W0407505, 3W0407506, 3W0407509, 3W0407510, 3W0407151, 3W0407693 and 3W0407694. Worn arms, bushings and ball joints cause steering vagueness, clunks and uneven tyre wear. Replacing the full front set restores front suspension geometry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I just buy the rubber bushings and press them into my old control arms?
While standalone aftermarket bushings exist, it is highly discouraged for these Bentley platforms. The labor involved in safely removing all the control arms, heating/pressing out the old bushings, and perfectly aligning new ones often exceeds the cost of just buying complete new arms. More importantly, pressing in new bushings does nothing to fix the integrated outer ball joints, which wear out at the exact same rate and cannot be serviced separately.
Why should I replace all of these arms at the same time?
Suspension components wear at identical rates. If your upper forward arms are clunking, your lower and rearward arms have endured the exact same mileage, heat, and stress. Replacing the entire multi-link setup at once saves you from paying for repetitive, overlapping labor costs and multiple expensive wheel alignments down the road.
Do I need to get a wheel alignment after installing these?
Absolutely. Anytime you replace major structural suspension components like the upper and lower control arms, the vehicle's camber, caster, and toe measurements will drastically shift. You must have a professional four-wheel alignment performed immediately after installation to prevent destroying your expensive tires.
Should I replace the air suspension struts while doing this job?
If your Bentley has over 80,000 miles and the original front air struts have never been replaced, doing them concurrently with the control arms is a brilliant strategy. It saves you an enormous amount of labor, as the upper control arms must be detached from the chassis to remove the air strut assemblies anyway.
