Is this part for the driver or passenger side?
Part number A2213308907 is exclusively for the Front Left (Driver Side). If you need the matching Front Right (Passenger Side) arm, you will need to order part number A2213309007.
Does this fit both AIRMATIC and ABC suspensions?
Yes. Unlike the lower control arms (which differ drastically depending on the suspension system), this upper control arm is universally utilized on the W221/C216 chassis regardless of whether the vehicle is equipped with standard AIRMATIC air suspension or the hydraulic Active Body Control (ABC) system. It also fits both RWD and 4MATIC AWD models.
Do I need to replace the right side at the same time?
Highly Recommended. Because the upper control arms are subjected to identical road conditions and bear the same vehicle weight, they wear out at virtually the same rate. It is an industry mandate to replace them in pairs to ensure safe, predictable handling.
Is a wheel alignment necessary after installation?
Absolutely. The upper control arms directly control the "Camber" angle of your front wheels. Replacing this arm fundamentally alters your suspension geometry. A professional four-wheel alignment is mandatory immediately following installation to ensure your vehicle tracks straight and to protect your tires.
