The Porsche 911 (997 generation) represents the perfect modern-classic driving experience. However, because the entire weight of the iconic flat-six engine hangs out past the rear axle, the engine mounts are under immense and constant stress. They serve as the critical structural links that maintain the car's legendary balance and razor-sharp handling.
