Why OEM
The A/C compressor is the primary driver of the entire refrigerant circuit — its displacement, clutch engagement pressure, and internal bearing specification determine system capacity, efficiency, and service life. Under GCC high-ambient conditions, the compressor operates at near-continuous duty cycle for months at a time. Aftermarket remanufactured or pattern compressors frequently present inadequate internal clearances, pre-fill oil volumes outside specification, and clutch engagement tolerances that cause premature bearing failure or compressor seizure. This factory-original compressor is pre-filled with the correct PAG oil type and volume for the Cayenne/Panamera refrigerant circuit.
Installation Note
Requires full refrigerant recovery. Flush refrigerant circuit if replacing a failed/seized compressor — metallic debris from a failed compressor will destroy a replacement unit. Replace receiver/dryer and expansion valve simultaneously. Recharge to Porsche-specified refrigerant weight and verify compressor engagement, system pressures, and outlet temperature before returning to service.
