OEM Mercedes-Benz GLE Parts

The GLE is Mercedes' mid-size luxury SUV and, in the GCC, one of the marque's most active platforms for service parts. Our catalogue covers the W166 (2015–2019) and the current V167 (2019 onward), including AMG 43, 53 and 63 variants and the GLE 350 de and 450 e plug-in hybrids, plus the GLE Coupé bodies.

Every part is matched to chassis code, engine code and production date. The GLE succeeded the M-Class, and the W166 designation spans both — identify the car by production date rather than by name alone. Send us your VIN and we will confirm before you order.

Mercedes-Benz GLE Maintenance Parts

GLE service parts split by engine family and by whether the car is a plug-in hybrid. Filters, brake hardware and fluids make up almost all routine spend.

Filters and service consumables. Filters follow the engine family, not the model year. Diesel cars add fuel filter, DPF and AdBlue considerations, and short-journey urban use in the Gulf is the duty cycle most likely to cause DPF regeneration problems. Order the complete service kit — the oil filter housing O-ring and sump plug crush washer are single-use. Cabin filters in Gulf dust deserve a materially shorter interval. Brakes. Vehicle mass makes brakes a consumable here. Standard, AMG Line and AMG 53 and 63 cars take different disc diameters and compounds, and the plug-in hybrids carry extra weight. On hybrids, regenerative braking means the friction brakes work less and corrode more — discs frequently fail on corrosion rather than wear. The wear sensor is single-use. Cooling. M276 and M278 engines place the thermostat housing and plastic pipework in the engine vee, seeping long before any temperature warning — a sweet smell and a falling expansion tank are the first signs. The OM642 diesel has its well-known oil cooler seal failure presenting as oil in the coolant valley. A heavy SUV in Gulf traffic works its cooling pack hard, and radiator stacks block with dust between the fins, causing overheating that clears on the move. Coolant parts → · Radiators →

About Mercedes-Benz GLE Parts

Parts for the GLE divide by generation before anything else. Identifying the chassis code — W166 and V167 — is the first step in ordering correctly, and facelift revisions within a generation matter as much as the generation change itself.

W166 (2015–2019) — The renamed and facelifted M-Class, with M276 and M278 petrol engines, the OM642 diesel, and AMG 43 and 63 variants. AIRMATIC was optional rather than standard. Recurring work centres on air suspension where fitted, the OM642 oil cooler seals, thermostat housings and front control arm bushings. Because it shares much with the M-Class, see also M-Class parts →

V167 (2019–) — A new platform with E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL offered alongside AIRMATIC, 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance, and the plug-in hybrid variants. Driver assistance hardware and lighting are model-year specific and revised frequently. Very little suspension or driveline hardware carries over from the W166.

Air suspension. On AIRMATIC and E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL cars this is the dominant ownership cost. Struts, compressor, valve block, air lines and height sensors form one connected system. The failure chain is consistent: a strut leaks, the compressor runs continuously to compensate, and the compressor burns out second. If the car settles overnight or the compressor runs longer than it used to, act immediately — catching the strut early often saves the compressor. Replace struts in axle pairs. In GCC heat the compressor works considerably harder than the European design case assumed. Note that not every GLE has air suspension — confirm before ordering. Air suspension compressors → · Shocks & springs →

Suspension and steering. Control arm bushings carry well over two tonnes and wear on a schedule set by mass rather than mileage — a knock over expansion joints, then vague on-centre steering, then inner-edge tyre wear misdiagnosed as alignment. Mercedes supplies most arms complete with bushing and ball joint pressed in. A four-wheel alignment is required afterwards. Control arms → · Wheel hubs & bearings →

Transmission and driveline. The 9G-Tronic degrades ahead of its long-life billing in a heavy vehicle in Gulf heat — harsh 1–2 shifts, delayed engagement from Park and lock-up shudder around 40–70 km/h are the signals. The 4MATIC transfer case carries its own fluid and its own service requirement, and is routinely overlooked. Transmission parts → · Transmission & engine mounts →

Electrical, sensors and PHEV. Check battery and charging health before condemning any module — low voltage produces a multi-module cascade that clears once restored. For the GLE 350 de and 450 e, battery-circuit coolant pumps, charging port assemblies and high-voltage components are model-year specific and revised frequently; send the VIN rather than ordering from a model-year match. FAQ

Is the GLE the same as the M-Class? The W166 GLE is the facelifted and renamed M-Class, so much carries over between late M-Class and early GLE. The V167 is a different platform entirely. Check production date.

My GLE sits low overnight. An air strut leaking down, in almost every case. The compressor failure that often follows is a consequence. Replace the strut early, in axle pairs.

Does my GLE have air suspension? Not necessarily — AIRMATIC was optional on the W166. Send us the VIN before ordering suspension components.

Are W166 and V167 parts interchangeable? Largely not, particularly suspension, driveline and anything at the front of the vehicle.

How quickly will my order ship? In-stock orders dispatch from our UAE or USA warehouse with full tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • Genuine Parts: These are the exact components installed at the factory, arriving in the original vehicle manufacturer’s branded packaging (e.g., Porsche or BMW).
    • OEM Parts: These are produced by the same manufacturers that supply the car brands (e.g., Bosch, Brembo, Lemförder) but are sold in the supplier’s own packaging, often at a more competitive price.
    • Aftermarket Parts: These are third-party components designed to meet or exceed original specifications.
