OEM BMW 3 Series Parts

The BMW 3 Series is the car the brand is built on, and the highest-volume platform in our catalogue by a wide margin. Our range covers the E46, E90, E91, E92 and E93, F30, F31 and F34, and the current G20 and G21 — including 318i, 320i, 328i, 330i, 335i, 340i, the diesel range, and the M3 across E90, F80 and G80 generations.

Every part is sourced through the official BMW OEM supply chain and matched to chassis code, engine code and production date. On a model with this many generations, engine variants and mid-cycle revisions, a listing matched only to "3 Series" is a fitment error waiting to happen. Send us your VIN and we will confirm before you order.

Generations of the BMW 3 Series

E46 (1998–2006) — Still a large active fleet. The M54 straight-six is the defining engine. Rear subframe mounting points, cooling system plastics, the DISA valve and window regulators are the recurring items. Cooling components on this generation should be treated as consumable rather than lifetime.

E90 / E91 / E92 / E93 (2005–2013) — Saloon, touring, coupe and convertible. N52 naturally aspirated and N54 twin-turbo, later N55, plus the S65 V8 in the E90 M3. The N54's high-pressure fuel pump, injectors and wastegate are the well-known service items; across the range, electric water pumps, VANOS solenoids and front control arm bushings dominate demand.

F30 / F31 / F34 (2012–2019) — The highest-volume generation in the used market and the most represented in service parts demand. N20, N26, B46 and B48 four-cylinders; N55 and B58 sixes in the 335i and 340i; S55 in the F80 M3. Early N20 timing chain concerns, electric water pumps, charge pipe and boost hose failures, and rear subframe bushings recur constantly.

G20 / G21 (2019–) — The current car on the CLAR platform, B46, B48 and B58 engines with 48-volt mild hybrid on later cars, S58 in the G80 M3. The plastic coolant distributor housing on B48 and B58 engines is the known failure point. Part numbers revise frequently within a model year here — VIN confirmation is the reliable route.

About BMW 3 Series Parts

Brakes. M Sport and standard brake packages take different disc diameters and different pad compounds, and the M3 differs again. The pad wear sensor is a separate part number front and rear and is single-use — replace it with the pads. Fitting a standard-compound pad to an M Sport car is the usual cause of the low-speed groan and early fade owners blame on the discs. BMW brake pads & rotors →

Suspension and steering. Front control arm and thrust arm bushings are the defining wear item across every generation. The symptom order is consistent: steering shimmy under braking, then a knock over expansion joints, then inner-edge tyre wear misdiagnosed as an alignment fault. BMW supplies these as a complete arm with the bushing pressed in, which is the correct repair — pressing an aftermarket bushing into a worn arm returns the fault within months. Rear subframe bushings deserve inspection at the same time. Control arms → · Shocks & springs →

Cooling. The N52, N54, N55 and N20 engines all use an electric water pump with a defined replacement interval, and proactive replacement is materially cheaper than the overheating damage a failure causes. On B46, B48 and B58 engines the plastic coolant distributor housing seeps onto the block long before any temperature warning appears. E46 cooling plastics fail on a calendar basis. In GCC ambient temperatures, hoses and expansion tanks harden considerably faster than the European design case assumed. Coolant parts → · Radiators →

Filters and service consumables. BMW's condition-based service calculation assumes factory-specification consumables and the correct LL-01 or LL-04 oil. Filters follow the engine family rather than the model — an N20 and a B48 in the same F30 body take different oil filter elements. Order the complete service kit rather than individual lines: the sump plug seal and filter housing O-ring are single-use and are the two items most often missing when a job stalls halfway. Cabin filters in Gulf dust deserve a shorter interval than the book figure. Air filters → · Oil filters → · Service kits →

Transmission. The ZF 8HP automatic across F30 and G20, the earlier 6HP on E90, and the DCT in F80 M3 cars all take different fluid specifications. The 8HP is described as lifetime-fill but degrades well ahead of that assumption in Gulf heat — harsh 1–2 shifts, delayed engagement from Park and lock-up shudder around 40–70 km/h are the early signals, and a fluid and pan-filter service at that stage costs a fraction of a mechatronic unit. Check the transmission mount alongside; a failed mount produces a driveline clunk regularly misdiagnosed as a gearbox fault. Transmission parts → · Transmission mounts → · BMW engine mounts →

Electrical and sensors. Most 3 Series faults presented as module failures are sensor or connector faults — crankshaft and camshaft position sensors, oxygen sensors, wheel speed sensors, and corroded connectors at the tail lamp clusters. The ECU calibration is built around the OEM sensor's output curve, so an aftermarket unit reading a few percent off runs the engine in a permanently compensated state without ever setting a fault code. Genuine BMW 3 Series Accessories

We supply genuine and OEM accessories and trim for the 3 Series — interior trim, exterior styling and model-specific fittings across every generation. Trim part numbers are tied tightly to interior colour code and equipment level, so send your VIN with any trim enquiry rather than ordering from a model-year match. FAQ

Which 3 Series generations do you supply? E46, E90/E91/E92/E93, F30/F31/F34 and the current G20/G21, including M3 variants. Parts are mapped to chassis code and production date rather than model name alone.

Are F30 parts interchangeable with G20 parts? Some service consumables cross over where the engine family is shared, but chassis, suspension and cooling components generally do not. Always check the chassis code.

What are the most common 3 Series repairs? Front control arm bushings, electric water pumps and thermostats, coolant distributor housings on B-series engines, and on N54 cars the high-pressure fuel pump and injectors.

How do I identify my engine? The engine code is on your VIN record and the engine bay identification label. Filters, cooling parts and service kits follow the engine family rather than the model year, so it is the single most useful detail you can give us.

How quickly will my order ship? In-stock orders dispatch from our UAE or USA warehouse depending on availability, with full tracking from dispatch to delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • Genuine Parts: These are the exact components installed at the factory, arriving in the original vehicle manufacturer’s branded packaging (e.g., Porsche or BMW).
    • OEM Parts: These are produced by the same manufacturers that supply the car brands (e.g., Bosch, Brembo, Lemförder) but are sold in the supplier’s own packaging, often at a more competitive price.
    • Aftermarket Parts: These are third-party components designed to meet or exceed original specifications.
