Mercedes CLS Parts | Genuine OEM — C219, C218, C257

OEM Mercedes-Benz CLS Parts

The CLS created the four-door coupé segment and ran across three generations before being discontinued. Our catalogue covers the C219 (2004–2010), C218 (2011–2018) and C257 (2018–2023), including the Shooting Brake estate bodies and the AMG 53 and 63 variants.

Every part is matched to chassis code, engine code and production date. The CLS shares a great deal of its mechanical hardware with the contemporary E-Class — the C219 with the W211, the C218 with the W212, the C257 with the W213 — which means many components cross-reference, but body, glass, lighting and interior trim are CLS-specific and do not. Send us your VIN and we will confirm before you order.

Mercedes-Benz CLS Maintenance Parts

CLS servicing mirrors the E-Class mechanically, so the consumables list follows the engine family. Door seals and drain maintenance belong on the same schedule on this body.

Filters and service consumables. ASSYST and ASSYST PLUS assume MB-Approval 229.5 or 229.52 oil and factory-specification filters, and filters follow the engine family rather than the model. Order the complete service kit — the oil filter housing O-ring and sump plug crush washer are single-use. Air filters → · Oil filters → · Service kits →

Brakes. Standard, AMG Line and AMG cars take different disc diameters and pad compounds. The wear sensor is a separate part number front and rear and is single-use. On early C219 cars fitted with SBC braking, service requires specific procedures — confirm the system before ordering. Mercedes brake pads & rotors → · Brake rotors →

Cooling. On M276 and M278 engines the thermostat housing and plastic pipework sit in the engine vee and seep long before any temperature warning — a sweet smell and a slowly falling expansion tank are the first evidence. The OM642 diesel has its known oil cooler seal failure presenting as oil in the coolant valley. Gulf conditions harden hoses and expansion tanks well ahead of the European design case. About Mercedes-Benz CLS Parts

Parts for the CLS divide by generation before anything else. Identifying the chassis code — C219, C218 and C257 — is the first step in ordering correctly, and facelift revisions within a generation matter as much as the generation change itself.

C219 (2004–2010) — The original, sharing W211 underpinnings including AIRMATIC and, on early cars, the SBC electro-hydraulic braking system. Now a mature platform with a dedicated independent service base. Air suspension struts, cooling plastics and front control arm bushings dominate the workload.

C218 (2011–2018) — W212-based, with the Shooting Brake added in 2012 and a substantial 2014 facelift that changed lighting and front-end components. M276, M278 and OM642 engines, plus the CLS 63 AMG. Thermostat housing seeps and OM642 oil cooler seals are the recurring items.

C257 (2018–2023) — W213-based with the 9G-Tronic, mild-hybrid assistance on the 53 AMG, and revised driver assistance hardware that is model-year specific. The final CLS generation.

Suspension and AIRMATIC. Front control arm bushings are the defining wear item across all three generations — a knock over speed bumps, then vague on-centre steering, then inner-edge tyre wear misdiagnosed as alignment. Mercedes supplies most arms complete with bushing and ball joint pressed in, which is the correct repair. On AIRMATIC cars, struts and compressor are one system: a leaking strut left in service burns out the compressor by making it run continuously. Replace struts in axle pairs. Control arms → · Shocks & springs → · Air suspension compressors →

Frameless doors and seals. Worth noting on this model specifically. The CLS uses frameless door glass, and the window seals and drop-glass mechanism are wear items that suffer badly under Gulf sun and UV — wind noise and water ingress usually trace to perished seals rather than misaligned glass. Replace seals rather than chasing alignment.

Transmission. The 7G-Tronic (722.9) and 9G-Tronic (725.0) degrade ahead of their long-life billing in Gulf heat. The 722.9 conductor plate and its 13-pin connector are a known failure point producing limp mode and selector faults, routinely misread as mechanical gearbox failure. Transmission parts → · Transmission & engine mounts →

Electrical and sensors. Most faults presented as module failures are sensor, earth or connector faults — position sensors, oxygen sensors, wheel speed sensors, and corroded connectors at the rear lamp clusters and boot harness. Electrical parts → · Oxygen sensors →

Genuine Mercedes-Benz CLS Accessories

We supply genuine and OEM trim, body and lighting components. CLS body panels, glass and lighting are model-specific and do not cross-reference to the E-Class despite the shared platform — send your VIN with any body or trim enquiry. Browse body parts → or contact our team.

FAQ

Are CLS parts the same as E-Class parts? Mechanically, many are — the C219 shares W211 hardware, the C218 shares W212, the C257 shares W213. Body panels, glass, lighting and interior trim are CLS-specific. Verify by VIN rather than assumption.

Wind noise from the doors — is the glass misaligned? On a frameless-door car, usually perished window seals rather than alignment, particularly after years of Gulf sun. Replace the seals first.

Is the CLS still supported now it is discontinued? Yes. The platform shares extensively with the E-Class, so mechanical supply remains good; body and trim items are where sourcing takes longer.

Gearbox in limp mode — how serious? On 722.9 cars, frequently the conductor plate or its connector rather than mechanical failure. Diagnose before assuming the worst.

How quickly will my order ship? In-stock orders dispatch from our UAE or USA warehouse with full tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • Genuine Parts: These are the exact components installed at the factory, arriving in the original vehicle manufacturer’s branded packaging (e.g., Porsche or BMW).
    • OEM Parts: These are produced by the same manufacturers that supply the car brands (e.g., Bosch, Brembo, Lemförder) but are sold in the supplier’s own packaging, often at a more competitive price.
    • Aftermarket Parts: These are third-party components designed to meet or exceed original specifications.
